EROSTAKLES (b. 1986) is a gay artist, writer, and publisher exploring artificial social boundaries and hypocrisies in America. Using humor and visual puns, he asks viewers to consider the moral absurdities we’ve allowed to govern our lives and to question the legitimacy of our current rules and order. He is specifically interested in the coded language and symbology the LGBTQ+ communities have created to communicate and connect with each other in places and times that are often hostile to their existence.

Erostakles is also editor and publisher of the independent quarterly gay art magazine, “Quarteros Review,” which highlights and promotes gay artists around the world and seeks to connect them with the global community of gay art galleries and collectors.
