“The Passion of Wilde”
“Pride, for me, is reclamation. I came to this painting through a single line. Words Wilde wrote that his publisher cut from ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray ‘ in 1890, only restored 121 years later: ‘I quite admit that I adore you madly, extravagantly, absurdly.’” The idea that those words were considered dangerous …”

“Faerie Soiree”
To me, "Pride" is a bittersweet topic. As an erotic gay artist, Pride is an annual holiday, in which I get invited to participate in Pride themed art shows, but always on the condition that I submit family friendly art. Bathwater by SpaceyCowboii
“Over the past six years, since choosing to embark on a career as a professional queer artist, I’ve come to understand the true meaning of “pride.” For much of my life, it was a word I avoided while living in the closet because of everything it seemed to imply. Through my brand, DICKSCOVERIES, and by immersing myself in queer erotic spaces, that word has transformed for me. What once felt uncomfortable and easier to avoid has become something I now carry with genuine pride.”
