“We pretend Life is neat and clean, but its messy, wet and sticky. The trials that made us who we are, gave us strength to keep moving forward. We've been taught to hide them away like stains on our bodies. We dim our shine, fade our colors all just to fit in, to pass and make it to the next day. Do that long enough and the mask sticks to your skin. You're stronger than you think and when we come together as a community, we are a movement. The vulnerable in our community need to see you stand in your strength, to remember their own. Embrace your COLOURS and show your PRIDE. Live loud enough for the ones who can't. They may be humming along under their breath for now, but together, that hum becomes a deafening roar. They'll join in for chorus and sing deep from their souls. We're here. We're Queer. We aren't going anywhere.”
